WIN Program for Interpreters

If you are a pre-certified interpreter, our ten-week Working Interpreter Network (WIN) intensive program could be what you are looking for. You will get interpreter training while supervised by an experienced interpreter, and you will receive feedback and resources. To get in this program, fill out the WIN form and send it with a video sample of your work.

Mentoring for All

Mentoring for All

This is a brand-new offering in process of development, and it is geared for certified interpreters. You will receive intensive, one-on-one ASL lessons and be paired with a mentor in order to gain additional proficiency in ASL. You will be contacted as soon as you send in a completed form. Mentoring is also available for parents, teachers, and other professionals who work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children.

Workshops

Workshops

From time to time, KIS offers workshops for interpreters on ethics, ASL linguistics, Deaf culture, and CDI training, all conducted by our experts. For more information about individual workshops, go to Community News page. Some workshops will be open to parents, teachers, and other professionals who work with Deaf and Hard of Hearing children/adults.
